Meet The Team

The Quirky Teapot wouldn’t be what it is without the wonderful people who run it. We’re a close-knit team, passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every customer. From our vintage decor and period-inspired touches to the retro tunes playing in the background, we aim to capture the charm of a classic English tearoom – with a good dose of laughter behind the scenes too.

Meet Natalie

The Quirky Teapot first opened in November 2021. It was my love for the place that has made it all happen – Staplehurst Grange, the farm and the building that became the tea room itself. So I decided to create a 'vintage inspired' experience that fitted in with the surroundings. And this is a lifestyle for me. I can balance being a good mum, partner and help around the farm too – as one of my signs in the tearooms says "Life is like a Pot of Tea, It's all in how you make it!"

I've always had a love of all things vintage, from the clothing & hairstyles, to homeware –  and of course, the music! There's a romance about the days gone by that I wanted to bring to the tea room. There's a wonderful relaxed atmosphere here and I love it when customer's sing along to our retro playlists.

Meet Debbie

At The Quirky Teapot, we’re proud to have Debbie Glover at the helm of our kitchen. With nearly three decades of experience, Debbie's culinary journey is both rich and unique. From her roots in a medical family to running her own businesses, Debbie brings a wealth of passion and expertise to every dish she creates.

When Debbie's not dishing up fabulous food, you’ll find her singing in a shanty band, scribbling away at poems and short stories, or working on her next novel – she's just finished her first.

Meet Kellie

Kellie has been a part of The Quirky Teapot team since July 2022, working front of house. She enjoys meeting and serving all our wonderful customers – both regulars and new visitors – and cherishes the friendships that have formed along the way.

Kelly says the peaceful atmosphere and laid-back vibe of the tea rooms make it a joy to come to work here. She finds the whole team spirit vibe inspiring and creative – everyone shares plenty of laughs together.

Kellie takes great pride in seeing Natalie’s business flourish year after year, knowing how much dedication goes into making The Quirky Teapot what it is. One challenge she’s still working on though? Perfecting the art of cutting cake – but she’s improving every year!
