A Classic English Tea Room Set in Beautiful Heritage Surroundings
Dogs Policy
The Quirky Teapot is a business that operates on an estate called Staplehurst Grange. This estate is primarily a working sheep farm. The location is beautiful, and historic, and the estate allows several businesses to co-exist at this fabulous place. The estate and its working sheep farm is what keeps the environment a successful location for us all to benefit from, and enjoy.
However, for the safety and well-being of the farm's livestock, we all strictly enforce a 'no dogs' policy right across the estate. This policy is in place to prevent any potential harm to the sheep, as well as to ensure the tranquility and comfort of all our guests – it is a very unpleasant, upsetting and expensive event for all concerned when there is an incident concerning a dog with the sheep. Our fundamental duty of care requires us to maintain the highest levels of safety for the animals that are here.
Terms:
-
No Dogs Allowed: For the safety of our animals and the peace of mind of our guests, dogs are not permitted on the premises under any circumstances.
-
Respect Our Livestock: The estate is home to a herd of sheep, and any dogs, regardless of temperament, can pose a risk to the livestock. To ensure the safety and well-being of the animals, you are respectfully asked to refrain from bringing dogs onto the estate.
-
Liability: Dogs can be unpredictable, and their presence can lead to accidents or disturbances. To maintain a safe environment for all, we cannot accept responsibility for any incidents involving dogs on the estate.
-
Exception: The only exception to this rule is when it is fundamentally necessary for visitors to bring an assistance dog with them on their visit, to facilitate their mobility and access to The Quirky Teapot, Rattlemouse Antiques and Blossom & Twigs. Assistance dogs must be kept on a harness at all times.
